Geelong Public Launching of a Petition
Geelong Public Launching of a Petition To End The Continuation Of Aboriginal Deaths In Custody
As you know, we’ve been actively supporting the campaign to demand justice for Mr Ward.
We’re circulating a national petition developed by the campaign in WA which will be submitted at the end of September.
To give the petition a boost, representatives of Mr Ward’s family and supporters are holding a Geelong petition launch on Monday.
Tanya and Lisa Koolmatrie say the need for the petition is “starkly demonstrated by the horrific tragedy and racist neglect of our Uncle while being transported in custody by the private contractor, GLOBAL SOLUTIONS LTD Now G4S from Laverton to Kalgoorlie, WA.” 2pm On The Steps Of The Geelong City Council Chambers, Gheringhap St, Geelong.
This Launch Is supported by The Wathaurong Community Co-op, Geelong Trades Hall and All Affliate Unions, The Indigenous Social Justice Association - Melbourne (And Possibly The Geelong City Council).
Monday 31 August
